How EEK Mechanical Finds a Workshop Near You — Nationwide Coverage Explained
When you call EEK Mechanical after a misfuel, a workshop is dispatched within minutes. Here is how our nationwide network operates and what guarantees your coverage wherever you are.
The Network Model
EEK Mechanical does not operate its own workshops or tow trucks. Instead, we coordinate a nationwide network of pre-vetted, NZIFDA-compliant independent automotive workshops and towing operators. This model means that coverage scales with the network rather than with our own capital investment — we can reach regional and rural New Zealand that a single-location operator could not serve cost-effectively.
How Dispatch Works
When you call 0800 769 000 after a misfuel, our dispatch team identifies your location, the vehicle, and the type of incident. We then connect with the nearest available NZIFDA-compliant workshop partner and confirm response time. In metropolitan areas, response times are typically 30–60 minutes. In regional areas, one to three hours. We stay in contact with you throughout and notify you when the technician is on the way.
Workshop Standards
Every workshop in the EEK network is audited against NZIFDA's compliance standards before joining and periodically thereafter. Standards cover: drain and flush procedure compliance; hazardous waste handling and disposal documentation; technician training and certification; and the provision of documentation for the NZIFDA National Misfuel Register. We do not dispatch to workshops that cannot meet these standards, regardless of proximity or cost.
