What journalists have covered
AI without a call centre
EEK has no human phone agents. Every inbound call — at any hour — is answered by a purpose-built AI voice agent that handles the full booking and dispatch process on the call.
The mandatory register
From April 2026, every misfuel disposal in NZ must be filed on the National Misfuel Register (NZIFDA). EEK is a certified Tier 1 Compliant Operator and files each event automatically.
Disputes by AI board
Customer disputes are deliberated by an eight-member AI board — each applying a distinct analytical framework (consumer law, adversarial analysis, statistical pattern recognition, field realism). Decisions are documented in a PDF resolution letter.
Built in 132 days
The entire platform — voice AI, messaging AI, payment pipeline, insurance reports, disputes system, supplier portal — was built in 132 days by a single operator using Cursor, an AI-native development environment.
Water-in-oil recovery
EEK launched a second service in May 2026: water-in-oil recovery for vehicles with coolant contamination, flood water ingress, or head gasket failure. A parallel service with its own voice agents and workshop network.
Iran war and NZ prices
EEK publishes a full rate card and transparency notices explaining how global supply chain disruption (fuel costs, freight surcharges) flows through to NZ misfuel recovery pricing. Sources cited.
